The MD-HX is a compact, low-power portable converter housed in a solid and robust aluminium enclosure. Its fanless design ensures quiet operation, making it suitable for use in almost any environment.

Either the HDMI or SDI output can be sourced independently from the HDMI input, SDI input or the integrated 2K Motion Adaptive Scaling Engine.

The unit is operated through an easy-to-use LCD screen and button control system. This provides convenient access to its extensive features without complicated LED controls, DIP switches or a computer.

The professional 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI test pattern generator provides 41 selectable output formats and 58 test patterns, including luma and chroma zone plates.

2K Motion Adaptive Scaling

The 2K Motion Adaptive Scaling Engine can be driven by either the SDI or HDMI input. It supports scaling, frame-rate conversion and horizontal or vertical image flipping.

The scaling engine can convert between 245 input formats and 41 output formats, providing an impressive 10,045 possible format conversions.

Advanced Image Processing

Internal precision is not fixed and increases as required during operations such as scaling and colour conversion. Precision may increase to 32–40 bits or more to maintain accuracy.

Decimator Design's proprietary scaling technology surpasses conventional polyphase approaches, providing improved sharpness, reduced aliasing and superior overall image quality.
