Aja Video Io XT ThunderBolt Video I/O Device.
First Shown in Europe at IBC 2011, this product is expected to start shipping by the end of 2011. It is one of the first devices to market to support the new Thunderbolt interface which is 20 times faster than USB 2.0, or 10Gbs!
Connections available on the rear panel of the Io XT are HDMI in/Out, 2x HD-SDI inputs (supports 3G or Dual-link) and 2x HD-SDI outputs, LTC in and out, RS422 and of course the main feature, dual Thunderbolt ports to enable loop-through connections to other devices (for example an external storage device).
Power is provided by an external power supply via an industry-standard 4-pin XLR.
The Io XT is a real Swiss army knife for the video professional, as it comes with hardware up, down and cross conversion at 10-bit resolution.
Although the unit accepts embedded SDI audio, balanced analogue audio outputs are available via a DB-25 connector.
