All-in-one commercial-grade AV switcher/scaler for a myriad of AV sources including additional audio support for DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital PlusScale analog and digital video up to 1080p / 1920x1200 and output as digital HDMI with digital audio. Easily adjust key video aspects such as color, aspect ratio, and noise reduction with the Gefen Audio/Video Scaler Pro. Digitize and scale audio and video in different formats into outgoing HDMI together with external digital audio (S/PDIF and TOSLINK).
Fitting neatly in an equipment rack, the Gefen Audio/Video Scaler Pro is conveniently located close to the center of AV operations. Rack ears are included.
The Gefen Audio/Video Scaler Pro video accepts the following inputs:

- Additional RS232 functions
The Gefen Scaler Pro can interface with a variety of sources from set-top boxes and DVD players, to all popular video gaming consoles, with full 1080p support and compliancy with HDCP. Wide-screen scaling of VGA and DVI desktops is also achieved by the Gefen Scaler Pro.
How It WorksConnect AV sources to the input ports on the Gefen Scaler Pro. An HDMI signal with embedded and external coaxial/optical emerges at the output. Connect HDTV displays to the HDMI output. Use the easy-to-use on-screen menu with the included IR remote control to permit easy trouble-free setup and image adjustment.

Note: Scalers Defined
Scalers are devices placed between the source and the display that enable the conversion of an input video signal from one format to a different resolution. Incoming video signals from different video source outputs (composite, component, HDMI) are converted to user-selectable output resolutions up to 1920x1200 or 1080p. Scalers can improve the quality of the image if the display has an inexpensive built-in scaler. This is done by outputting the video set to the native resolution of the display, bypassing its internal scaler. This ensures the best quality video possible.
Input of a DVI-D signal (or display of an HDMI signal on a DVI-D monitor) requires an additional DVI to HDMI cable or adapter.

Converts DVI Video to Scaled Analog RGBS VideoThe DVI to RGBS Scaler box takes your DVI-I computer video card/HDTV video signal and converts it to analog RGBS formats. Now you can display desktop or laptop computer and/or HDTV content on your analog RGBS display or projector. Available and selectable video formats include RGB, RGBS at sync 0.3V, RGBS at sync 5V, and YPbPr Component video.
How It Works
Connect your analog monitor to the BNC female connector outputs of the DVI to RGBS Scaler Box. Connect the DVI (M-M) cable between the DVI connector on your computer's graphic card and the DVI-I input of the DVI to the RGBS Scaler Box. Power-cycle all connected equipment, and you will see converted DVI video on your analog display. The Scaler generates all the necessary digital to analog conversion signals to make the connection between the digital input and the analog outputs work.
Switching or adjusting the video formats is effortless with the included infrared remote control. A button on the included infrared remote control activates the friendly On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu System which allows you to adjust the video to your liking.
Note:
This device does not support HDCP.
VGA video can also be input to this device by using a VGA-to-DVI adapter (sold separately) on the DVI-I input side.

Transform Composite or S-Video into crisp, scaled HDMI videoThe GefenTV Composite to HDMI Scaler takes either Composite Video or S-Video as input and converts it to digital HDMI video, then scales it up to a maximum output of 1080p resolution (or 1920x1200 when used with a computer monitor).

Watch HDMI Video on your Composite or S-Video System -- with AudioThe new GefenTV HDMI to Composite Scaler lets you transform HDMI video in resolutions from 480p to 1080p into Composite video or S-Video format, properly sized to view optimally on your display.
How It WorksSimply connect your HDMI video source to the HDMI input jack of the GefenTV HDMI to Composite Scaler. Connect your Composite or S-Video display cable to the correct video output jack on the Scaler's rear panel. RCA-type analog audio output jacks and Coaxial S/PDIF digital audio output jacks allow for the connection of an audio receiver or other device to receive the audio signal embedded in the HDMI signal. Power-cycle all connected components. You will then have HDMI video playing on your Composite or S-Video display with simultaneous audio output.
Note: This device does NOT convert HDCP.
This device supports both NTSC and PAL video standards.
This device maintains the aspect ratio of the original signal.
The main purpose for the GTV-HDMI-2-COMPSVID is to downscale high definition video to standard definition NTSC / PAL, from digital to analog TV signals. The GTV-HDMI-2-COMPSVID does not accept standard-resolution 15KHz (Horizontal Frequency) video signals as input (i.e. 480i and 576i resolutions). Source devices operating at resolutions of 480i / 576i will very likely have analog outputs which can be used to directly connect to display devices in these cases.
